Life is not simple

Taxes are pure hell

I'm getting a refund this year. Yay. That almost makes up for the sheer awful experience that is filing taxes. Income, loss, deductions, forms, dividends, interest, forms, W-2, 1099, small-business-owner, forms, at-risk... have I mentioned forms? Meanwhile, the software tries to come across as "helpful" as possible while slowly charging you more-and-more for the service; notice I didn't specify which brand of tax-handling garbage? That's because they're all the same: giant corporations with tons of money being spent lobbying the government to keep this whole mess exactly as it is — a twisted abyss of a nightmare that feeds their beast.
